At ZAS Consulting we believe that all performance issues are fundamentally about people and the relationships they have with themselves, their work and with other people. We are a boutique consulting business with a passion and a commitment to supporting organisational leaders to be the best that they can be.

We partner with our clients to specifically support them to develop IDEAs (Insights, Direction, Energy and Alignment) that create new habits and new possibilities so that leaders can nurture and harvest the seeds that we sow in their teams/organisations. An added motivation for us is that through this experience we will continue to learn about ourselves and how we can best support our client.

The term ZAS is inspired by three young men who have each in their own way taught me so much about people and how they see the world differently. This has strengthened my resolve to treat each leader as unique when supporting them to be the best they can be.

Insight - all leaders maintain mental models of how the world works. These models are formed from what leaders have learned from their past experience and strongly influence how they perceive the present as well as how they view the future.

The ZAS Consulting coaching experience supports leaders to focus on their strengths and opportunities. It supports them to experience new possibilities when they become stuck on fixed mental models that are unhelpful.

Direction - is about knowing where you want to be (vision or purpose) and knowing what the pathways towards that vision might look like.

It is important for leaders and their teams to know what to CONTRIBUTE to move towards their vision but it is equally important that they know how they have to BE. ZAS Consulting facilitators can support leaders to form a rich and vivid vision for the future as well as guiding them along the journey.

Energy - is vitally important. We have all experienced being in a room when the energy level is low. It is like we can tell when an idea is not going to get off the ground. Energy leads to discretionary effort, innovation and teamwork.

At ZAS Consulting we apply a combination of models and principles within the framework of the Appreciative Inquiry process to optimise the energy required to support teams/organisations and to propel towards their goals.

Alignment - is a critical ingredient to team / organisational success. Organisations can be clear about the direction they want to go and energised to get there; but when they are not aligned on how they need to work together success can be difficult to achieve.

At ZAS Consulting we use our tools and processes to ‘connect people up’ and optimise team /organisational alignment. This technology applies to high performance teams, specific projects and more generally, organisational alignment.

Our Philosophy


ZAS Consulting endeavours to partner with the client by starting from where they are at. We believe that all progress stems from the belief that given the right coaching and support the client will be self-determining in deciding their own goals and contributing to the success of those goals. This means they will be energised to work on their own Enabling Factors such as mindsets, behaviours (habits), culture and systems to bring about sustainable performance improvement and move them towards their desired future.

Our role is to facilitate the shaping of those Enabling Factors by supporting leaders to guide the team/organisation towards their desired future. ZAS Consulting achieves this by using an eclectic approach that draws from transformational thinking, applied science and many years experience coaching and facilitating change for a variety of clients from an extremely diverse range of industries.
